Connections with nature
Expanding Worlds Through Tiny Encounters
A hands-on animal care experience that inspires responsibility and creativity in children. Each session focuses on a fascinating invertebrate—like ants, isopods, or praying mantises—and teaches kids about its unique needs and behaviours.
Children then build their own personalised mini vivarium using fun accessories, encouraging empathy, scientific thinking, and a deeper appreciation for the tiny creatures that help keep our ecosystems thriving.
Garden in a Palm
An interactive entomology program for ages 10+ that sparks scientific curiosity and ecological awareness. Through live encounters with insects like ants, spiders, mantises, and stick insects, participants explore animal behaviour, survival strategies, and their roles in the ecosystem.
Each session features guided handling, creative challenges inspired by insect adaptations, and eco-friendly art using upcycled materials—encouraging critical thinking, empathy, and a deeper appreciation for the powerful impact of even the smallest creatures.
Tiny Creatures, Big Impact
A guided outdoor experience that connects children with the wild wonders of their local environment. Held in nearby parks, each walk invites playful exploration, insect spotting with real specimen tools, and hands-on vivarium building using upcycled natural materials.
This program encourages curiosity, sensory engagement, and respectful interaction with nature—fostering environmental awareness, a sense of wonder, and a lasting bond with the natural world.
